Evan is a native of Madisonville, Kentucky and college graduate of Murray State University. Evan moved to Evansville in early spring 1994 as an Assistant Golf Professional at the Evansville Country Club after serving as the Head Professional at Murray Country Club for a short time. He married Allison Carr in September of 1994 and shortly thereafter joined Old National Bank as a Management Trainee. While at Old National Bank, he worked in the Commercial Lending Division and finished his five-year banking career as Vice President of Commercial Lending. During his years at Old National Bank he served as the Commercial Loan Officer on the Woodward account handling the commercial real estate lending services for Bob Woodward, Sr. and Bob Woodward, Jr. from which grew an ever-lasting professional and personal relationship. He joined the Woodward team as Vice President of Development and partner in May of 1999. In May of 2002, Evan became the Owner and President of Woodward Commercial Realty, Inc. and Woodward Development and Construction, Inc. Evan is a member of the board and Executive Committee Vice-Chair for the Evansville Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, serves as the Board Chair of the Dunigan Family YMCA as well as serves on the Metro Board for the YMCA. In addition, Evan is a member of the Board of Advisors for the School of Business at the University of Southern Indiana and is a board member of the newly formed Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana. He and his wife Allison were blessed with birth of their son, Walker, on December 28, 2000 and currently reside in Newburgh. Hobbies include anything outdoors such as hunting (especially water fowling with his two black labs), fishing and golf. KENTUCKY basketball is a passion along with spending time with his family. In September of 2005, Evan was awarded the Richard A. Schlottman Business Person of the Year by the Metropolitan Evansville Chamber of Commerce. Evan was cited by the chamber for his professional conduct in promoting the chamber's mission, as someone who stands out from others as an advocate and leader within the business community, someone who goes "above and beyond the normal call of duty," and someone whose involvement in community and commerce activities contributes to the chamber's mission. | |
